Researchers have recently found out that drinking green tea may help prevent Sjogren's Syndrome, an auto-immune disease that causes dry mouth and dry eyes. The disease attacks tear and saliva glands.

Animals treated with a green tea extract show lower levels of auto-antibodies, proteins produced when the immune systems attacks itself.

Doctors said they already knew green tea suppresses inflammation and suspected it would help with Sjogren's Syndrome.
